A figurative artist who reinterprets the natural world. Her paintings and prints weave observations of the real world with the dream world of her poetic imagination.  Using mixed materials and printed papers to open the door of her remembered experience her work is grounded in drawing and observation. She makes sensitive images that have a reflective narrative. She is a member of Bath Artist Printmakers Cooperative and Bath Art Circle.

"When I'm looking for potential subjects for my work I try to detach myself from thinking about what they actually are. Seeing with intention and yet with a certain freedom in the way I interpret things, using the sensory part of my mind to guide my hand.  For me, drawing is a bit like meditating combined with a very thoughtful and careful decision making process as the work evolves. Sometimes I will start from observational drawings of things that interest me which can then inspire deeper exploration in the studio where I can be creative. I'm interested in fragility and the ephemeral and expressing my sense of awe and wonder for the natural world and humanity".
